    This hotel is located about 25-30 mins from downtown, which has nothing to offer.

    The hotel is in an amazing location, surrounded by jungle and beautfiul beaches, with stunning views, especially at sunset.

    have really thought of everything here i could go on and on so i'll just say i'd recommend this to everyone if you want great 5* service, food and quiet location.

    Being a Shangri-La fan (see reviews) I was keen to experience this rather special hotel having read about its amazing location and facilities.

    Location About 40 mins from the city, but the location is a good escape from it.

    but its all 3 or 4 times the price you'll pay in town The hotel location is *very* far out of town, about 30/40mins Taxi ride from Kota Kinabalu (about 80 RM each way) and as mentioned there are no local shops where you can pop out to.
