The large shopping complex next door has a very nice food market where one can select from some of the local foods and just spend time looking at what is offered in Japan stores.

The nearby subway and railway lines connect you easily to the Shinkansen 'super-fast' trains to western Japan, local railways to Kyoto and Nara, and downtown Osaka (you can even take a 20min stroll to Namba walk where all the popular stores and restaurants are located).

These stores have good snacks you can take to your room, such as onigiri: triangle-shaped snacks of rice covered with crispy black seaweed (like they wrap around sushi) with various stuffings inside.

Right outside the hotel are a lot of restaurants and 24-hour convenience stores that you can go to for quick and cheap fixes.
