    The showers and toilets are coed but strangely enough the Japanese don't have such severe hang ups about bodies and bodily functions that we in the west do.

This is a brilliant ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) with cherry-blossoms and wild azalea in the spring, firefly on a cool-summer's evening, autumn's red leaves and in winter, snow can be seen whilst enjoying the pot-dishes.

From JR Tokaido Shinkansen Kyoto Station: 45 mins by bus, 1 min on foot from Yamashiro-Takao bus stop. From Meishin Expressway Kyoto-Minami IC: 45 mins
