    Kyoto Station may have a lot of malls and restaurants, and is also on a subway stop, but it looks so industrial, and is far from everything worth seeing.

    It is also only a short taxi ride of 10-15 minutes from the station and in addition to being close to many sights is very convenient for the shops and restaurants of the centre of town.
