  1.
The food was hot and fresh with eggs cooked to order and the selection was large enough to offer items even a picky eater can enjoy.

A 15 minute walk to Gion, the other nice area for fine dining * cabs waiting in line to take you to various shrines and destinations around Kyoto.

central location and easy to navigate the city, I loved the Kaiseki dinner at the Japanese restaraunt on the 6th floor.

We had Breakfast included in our package and the views from the western breakfast restaurant were breathtaking and a lovely way to start each day.

Wonderful buffet breakfast (again this can be difficult to locate in Japan) in a top-floor room overlooking the river.

The hotel also has several restaurants and cafes inside it, especially a wonderful Japanese restaurant on the bottom floor, which is open very late (everything else in Kyoto closes quite early).

The small soba restaurant on B2 was good.

Breakfast buffet upstairs has a great view, and at $30, it is pricey, but delicious if you are hankering for a bowl of bran or granola, which is almost impossible to find in this white-flour bread products city.

  4.
The on-site food is pricey and uninspired, but in every other way, this is a perfect hotel.
