    We were given a room on the 3rd level corner room and the room was facing the back of the famous Sanjusangdendo temple I guess.

    The room was hi-tech but felt classic japanese, with a waterfalled garden view from each room.

    The breakfast was good as were the restaurants but just lacking in atmosphere even though one of the most famous festivals was taking place that day!

    Kyoto is a great city to explore on foot and the hotel is in walking distance to several of Kyoto's most famous temples and even the Gion area as well as main train station (takes about 20 minutes by foot).
