My suite with private pool was gorgeous and loved that the bathtub opened out onto my own private pond.

You travel in the ancient time of Bali, starting with the huge statue in the lobby and all the antiques everywhere in the hotel, the rooms are beautiful, especially the ones facing the sea with the copper bathroom...

That said: the service was exceptional (one can eat anywhere and anytime - they will set up a table anywhere on their premises) and our room was nice, but i found it all too rustic for the price we were paying.

Our room was a second floor Rejang suite with an enclosed porch, huge sunken round bathtub, and a row of windows overlooking the ocean.
