If you want diamonds there is a selection of shops Moon at Diamond Care is great and he has a wide range of crocs shoes for children and adults.

Get the local bus to Vasco outside the hotel and ride back in a motorised rickshaw - see the vibrant markets selling sugar cane, chillies piled high and all sorts of unusual vegetables.

We also went up to the north of goa to visit the Saturday night market - Ingo's, taxi there cost us 1300rps - very good busy market, just remember to barter for everything...

The shopping at Panajim is also worth a visit (lots of good quality bargains brand names)Excellent shopping if you get a driver like we had (he transported all the shopping to the car whilst we carried on shopping)
