    The room was tiny, but the view was spectacular, especially when a violent rain storm pelted the window, and all of Berlin became an impressionist painting.

    Nice quality hotel, immacuately clean, beautiful designs, very new; we had a great view of Orienberger Str; good central location for hopping onto metro, or going for a meal along Orienberger Str; very lively area, huge art scene, can get a little seedy with hookers on the streets but everyone pretends they arn't there; the restaurants are great and not expensive.

Whatever you might associate wit the name Velvet, the high-tech facade
made of glass and aluminium does not have much in common with velvet,
warmth and cosiness. The Velvet is aiming exactly at this contrast:
outside a lot of technology, very cool with straigh structures; inside
cosy, warm with a lot of accents underlining very clearly the wellbeing
atmosphere of the hotel.
