Yes the drinks are expensive: £11 for a glass of wine and £7 for a beer (depending on the exchange rate) but the service is world class and the ambiance is priceless.

For sites further away, there is a subway station right under the hotel and the staff was great about calling a cab and giving the Chinese taxi drivers good instructions..

While Wangfujing is within walking distance, the hotel is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

Room had luxurious amenities, restaurants were top rate, bar/lounge on the 2nd floor was a nice place to have a drink in the evening.
