All nice and fancy but it lacked something

Luxurious comfort in a good location: I stayed at the Peninsula for three nights at the end of a month-long trip in China, during which I slept everywhere from night trains and hostels, through typical 3-star Chinese hotels where no one speaks a word of English, and even a tent in the desert, so this was definitely the most comfortable place, though maybe not the most interesting one...

Not quite as luxurious as the Beverly Hills location or Hong Kong location, but for Beijing, it's at the higher end.
