The restaurants on Pub Street are great but the ones in the little alleyways between streets around the central market are much much cheaper and just as good.

The hotel location means acess to the "CBD" of Siem Reap (Bar Street, Pub Street etc) and the markets are cheap easy rides by tuktuk.

On the other hand, it's a bit far from the center of the shopping area suce as Old Market or Night Market.

It's also possible to walk to the Old Market area from Tara (about 20 mins) but on a hot day and carrying lots of shopping, you'll probably be forced to hire a tuk-tuk (it cost us a whopping $2 each way for a 10 minute ride!

Although a little bit far from the central market and Pub Street, the hotel is very conveniently located, close to major Angkor Wat temple complexes.

There are plenty of shops around to buy essentials such as water and snacks and even a sovenier shop next door to pick up last minute gifts.

A reasonably priced hotel very close to Angkor with easy access to the museum (3-4 min walk), downtown (1-2 USD tuk tuk drive), convenience store (next door) and off-course the Angkor Vat (around 6'ish KM).
