It was one short block from the Yarra River, in the center of Southbank and within easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes, great shopping, art galleries and the Crown Casino.

it's one block south of the Yarra River, one block south of the excellent Southgate mall with a great selection of restaurants and unique shops; about two blocks from the big cultural center; and a maximum five minutes walk from Federation Square and Flinders Street Station, which seem to be the main hub of downtown Melbourne.

Fun: The hotel is located next door to two tourist sites: the Eureka building, the tallest building (about 300 meters high) in town – and which offers the highest observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere – and Southbank, an upscale shopping area.

Three and a half blocks further walking brought us to the Bourke Street Mall and lots of shopping.
