Guest Reviews of The Hotel Windsor Melbourne Based on a 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) rating system

The best thing I found with the Hotel was the location; close to great shopping on Collins and little Collins streets and close to restaurants and China town, also a cab stand directly out front meant transport was never an issue especially as we headed to the Casino and clubs at night.

Things you must do -------------------------- - visit the Victorian Art Gallery (2 locations) - walk Southbank along the river to Casino - Go shopping on Collins Street - Try some hand made Chocolates - Take a city tour - Ride the Trams - Visit Luna Park and eat some serious junk food in that area - Visit China Town - Go to a Jazz venue - Take a walk along Brighton Beach (famous beach) - The Windsor High Tea on weekends - Ask for any additional tourist attractions or event information Highlights of hotel --------------------------- - room size and comfort - breakfast buffet - The Windsor Bear - free gym - friendly staff - nearby shopping/cafe - Grand dining room - Grand Ballroom and High Tea.

The staff were efficient and I was happy with my choice location wise as it is very close to some of my favourite Melbourne restaurants [Longrain, Grossi Florentini]and well placed in terms of central Melbourne shopping.

) They went out of their way to help a friend who was running late (after shopping too much) to collect her luggage, meet her transport and get away for the plane-- well after she had checked out.
