No view to speak of but, surprisingly, it was preferable to the room we had just vacated - a premium harbour-view at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore.

Whilst the hotel's internal spaces, furniture and furnishings are showing a bit of wear and tear and the rooms are not as big as newer hotels in Australia, the Westin is still a great place to stay in.

Check-in was very slow and service on the front desk always slow and frequently unhelpful - front desk staff seem to have little authority or experience and therefore need to check with their manager frequently, which slows things down.
