The front desk staff and concierge were very helpful - we tested them a few times by wanting food late at night (but not room service) and they found places as best they could (food places close quite early).

We had the buffet breakfast each morning which was very nice (expensive as hotel breakfasts are).

The attitude of the staff was not too nice, we wasnt offered any compensation or even a bottle of water...

My friends said this was typical for Brisbane, but having had free parking at all the other places we'd stayed on our way up the coast from Sydney, this seemed really expensive.

We knew one of the risks of going for the cheapest was that we could get one of the worst rooms eg on a low floor at the back (see previous reports of train noise, poor views etc).

The hot water was very hot and this could be dangerous.

Notices near the taps, however, might be sensible o The apartment is obviously designed for guests to self cater if they want to (cooker, microwave, dishwasher etc), but the refrigerator was stuffed full of the hotel’s very expensive mini bar items leaving little space for guest’s items.
