There are loads of cafes and restaurants nearby and we had some great value breakfasts and dinners in these.

I suggest that at the time of booking you specify a room at the front which costs a little extra but it's well worth it.

We had a lovely apartment on the 6th floor overlooking the river and the city, I did pay extra for city/river views and it was worth it!
